ENGAGING MEN AND BOYS
For over a decade, my team and I at Good Blokes Co facilitated tens of thousands of conversations with men and boys, gathering deep insights into how masculinity shapes wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement. Now I help leaders, educators, and facilitators move beyond token initiatives to genuine engagement – equipping teams with the skills and understanding to authentically connect with men and boys.

DEI programs in male dominated workplaces often struggle to meet ambitious goals with difficulties retaining talented women and men becoming defensive and disengaged. This program merges DEI and men’s wellbeing goals in a holistic approach to culture and leadership development that turns resistance into engagement and empowers participants to drive real change.
Content:
Masculinity, wellbeing, and behaviour;
Fostering healthy connection
Psychological safety and collaborative leadership;
Cultural intelligence; Demystifying privilege and leveraging power;
The FERVA coaching model;
empathy maps and calling people in;
4 steps for better 1:1s; and
creating sustainable accountability.
Participants gain confidence in navigating difficult conversations, practical communication, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving skills, and improved wellbeing through connection to purpose and peer support. Organisations see strengthened psychological safety, improved cross-team collaboration, higher retention, and leaders equipped to build high-trust, equitable cultures.
Format. A series of 8 experiential workshops for an internal coalition of ‘champions for change’, or in smaller workplaces for an entire team. Engaging conversations grounded in participants' lived experiences – not compliance theatre, but genuine skill-building centred around your unique workplace challenges.

Teachers, youth workers, and facilitators often struggle to engage boys and men in meaningful conversations about wellbeing, relationships, respect, inclusion and masculinity. Information-heavy approaches leave participants feeling lectured at. This program equips educators and facilitators to shift from delivering content on whiteboards to facilitating experiences that explore real behaviour and spark honest dialogue - building the deeper understanding and genuine relationships of support and accountability that actually change behaviour.
Content: Understanding masculinity and the 'Man Box'; facilitation mindset and psychological safety; facilitating connection and trust with groups of boys and men; facilitation toolbox; activities that spark conversations; debriefing on purpose; safety in sensitive conversations; transforming resistance; essential interpersonal skills; action and accountability; plus a Program Map for designing transformative learning experiences that drive tangible behavioural change.
Participants gain confidence facilitating honest dialogue with boys and men, practical skills for engaging diverse groups, expanded toolkits of activities and questions, and the ability to redesign existing programs or create new ones from scratch.
A series of 12 experiential workshops exploring participants' real facilitation challenges and learning a toolbox of tricks you'll use immediately in classrooms, boardrooms, lunchrooms, and Zoom rooms.
