A golden opportunity for those who’ve completed the “Better Conversations” facilitation skills training to:

  • Learn by observing how other alumni apply the “Better Conversations” framework to deliver their content;

  • Learn from other attendees reactions to the workshop design and facilitation through a guided collective feedback process.

  • Be a participant and absorb some new content;

  • Continue to reflect on your personal experience, emotional reactions and habits in honest group conversations; and

  • Networking opportunity to connect with other facilitators who have completed the “Better Conversations” Program Design & Facilitation Skills Training.

Each quarterly session will be facilitated by Mike Dyson, with 2 workshops being delivered in collaboration with alumni. Followed by an optional unstructured networking lunch for those who want to connect.

WORKSHOP 1 - The space you hold is only as grounded as you are

This experiential workshop explores strategies for tapping into your somatic awareness in any moment to grow awareness of your physical reactions to stress and to empower you to stay present so you can choose how you move forward.

Facilitated by Shan Kennedy with Mike’s support.  Shan is an Integrative Physiotherapist, Mother, Mentor, Artist, and Reiki Energy Healer who brings together over a decade of experience in neurological rehabilitation, now combined with energy healing and creative somatic mentoring. https://www.shankennedy.com/about

WORKSHOP 2 - Sustainable Facilitation: Caring without Burning Out 

This workshop explores the hidden drivers of burnout in facilitators - including emotional load, cognitive demand, identity patterns, and boundaries - and offers a space to pause, reflect and reset. Through interactive activities and shared discussion, participants will gain insight into their own patterns and leave with practical, sustainable ways to care for themselves while facilitating impactful conversations – including conversations about burnout.

Facilitated by Kerryn McCabe with Mike’s support. Kerryn is a facilitator, counsellor and coach with over 10 years' experience across corporate, community and not-for profit sectors. With training in business, psychology, counselling, nutrition and a passion for holistic wellbeing, Kerryn brings a grounded, human, and evidence-informed perspective to her work - helping individuals and teams build sustainable ways of caring, working and leading. https://www.kerryngrace.com/about
